This special reissue, marking the centenary of Miles Davis in 2026, of the legendary 1958 album “Legrand Jazz” includes a note by Michel Legrand on the historic sessions not included on the original release, and is presented with fresh new artwork based on session photography of Miles with Legrand.

Michel Legrand qualified the album as “the record of his dreams”. The rollcall of musicians who participated in the historical sessions held in 1958 in New York recording Legrand’s idiosyncratic arrangements of jazz standards nothing short of impressive: Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Herbie Mann, Phil Woods, Eddie Costa, Bill Evans, Paul Chambers, Ben Webster, Hank Jones, Art Farmer, Donald Byrd... Upon its release in 1959, the album was met with critical acclaim. It has since undoubtedly left its mark on the history of jazz.
